COMING IN 2010...
I have what must be one of the most complete collections of surf, beach and summer music in the Midwest. Wailin' instrumentals, serious and off-the-wall vocal numbers, Myrtle Beach hits, and all the popular summer songs. I'll play your favorites (e.g., the Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, Dick Dale and his Del-Tones, the Ventures, the Fantastic Baggys), plus many one-hit wonders and obscure gems. Most of my material dates from the 1950's and 1960's, but I also have collected many choice tracks from today's leading surf revival bands (e.g., Jon and the Nightriders, Los Straitjackets, the Aqua Velvets, Slacktone, the Phantom Surfers, Monsters From The Surf, the Raybeats...). All played with a minimum of announcements, with special attention to creating a mix that everyone will love, young and old. I always bring backup equipment in the unlikely event that any part of my professional sound system fails, and my rates are very reasonable.
